ISSC x MARCS

In February 2025, ED Nita Little and GC Leighann Kowalsky led a training in Somatic research for a group of CI Practitioners at the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development.

Throughout the week, facilitators had lunch conversations with researchers at the MARCS institute engaged in neurological or physical research - exploring, translating and finding connections between each others practice.

Following the training, Nita Little also offered the public a talk on the work, entitled Rewilding Presence: Ecology, Politics and Dance Research.

The project was coordinated and produced by LeeAnne Litton.

Little and Kowalsky will return to Australia in 2026 for additional training, and to establish an ISSC CoLab on the continent.
